A FUTO final year student identified as Uwakwe Jennifer, reportedly died in an accident which occurred yesterday along the Owerri-Onitsha road.

The FUTO final year student of Information Management Technology, died alongside her boyfriend, Emetor Ikenna Godspower who lost control of the car and rammed into a stationary truck. Before her death, Uwakwe Jennifer whose corpse has been deposited at the Oraifite general hospital morgue for autopsy, was set to write her final exam later this week.

Few months ago it was also reported that a final year Nigerian student of Sociology, Daniel Ilesanmi, has died in a horrific car accident.

The young man who was a student of the Lead City University, Ibadan, Oyo State, lost his life in an auto crash involving his 3-week old car, moments after telling a friend that the car was bad and was going to kill him.

A witness at the scene described the accident as an incident that happened in a flash. According to him, all they heard was tyres screeching and then a loud banging sound before they realised it was a fatal accident.
